Two dead after vehicle makes U-turn on N1

LIMPOPO – Two people are dead and a further two critically injured after a two-vehicle collision on the N1 south earlier today.

The incident happened between Mookgophong and the Kranskop Toll Plaza and involved a delivery vehicle and a sedan, said Mike Maringa, Media Liaison Officer for the Department of Transport.

Maringa added that the two vehicles collided after the driver of the one vehicle reportedly made an unsafe U-turn. “Two people have been confirmed dead and two others are critically injured.”

Two southbound lands are closed and motorists are advised to drive with caution and to maintain a safe following distance.
