Polokwane traffic officers arrest suspected drug dealers along R71
Seven kilograms of drugs worth around R70 000 were also confiscated during this arrest.
POLOKWANE – Traffic officers attached to the Polokwane Municipality on Tuesday, 5 January arrested two men suspected of drug dealing.
Municipal Spokesperson, Thipa Selala said the duo were arrested after the officers followed up on information received about two suspected drug traffickers, travelling in a silver van. “The said vehicle was spotted along the R71 road in Nobody and was stopped. The traffic officers conducted a thorough search and found six bags of dagga weighing 7 kilograms, stashed inside the vehicle.”

Selala added that during the arrest the suspects reportedly attempted to bribe the traffic officials. A case of possession of dagga and bribery has been opened at the Mankweng Police Station.
The duo are expected to appear in court soon.
