Another dry spell expected in Polokwane municipal area

The Polokwane Municipality warns residents of yet another water supply stoppage due to emergency repairs to be conducted on the specon line.

POLOKWANE – On Friday morning Lepelle Northern Water notified the Polokwane Municipality about yet another stoppage of water supply from the Olifantspoort plant.

In a statement, Municipal Spokesperson, Thipa Selala says LNW has cited multiple leaks on specon pipeline as the cause and has warned residents that all areas of supply will be affected.

These areas include Ga-Chuene, Polokwane and Seshego.

“LNW promised to complete the repairs within five hours from now. Water supply shall be restored once the maintenance team has completed the repairs.”

Thipa added that this stoppage comes at a time when most reservoir levels within the municipal area are sitting at 0%.
