A romantic massage with the one you hold dear

Polokwane Observer spoke to Conny Manku, the owner of Tshoseletso Day Spa about making Valentine's Day a special occasion at home using the power of touch.

With the month of love upon us, treat your partner to a hearty massage on 14 February.

“The most important aspect of love that many people take for granted is the power of touch, especially massage,” she said.

Give your partner the gift of touch this Valentine’s Day and create an ambiance with aromatherapy that both you and your partner like. Play soothing music in the background and allow touch to do the talking.

“Let your partner lie face down on the bed and rub your hands together with oil to warm them up,” she shared.

She explained that you gently apply firm long strokes on the back using flat hands, adding more oil if necessary and using circular movement on the back and towards the neck. Massage the back of the head if needed.

“After the massage, she suggested a bath with oils and salts, and rose petals. The rose petals can be used to decorate the bedroom and add a few candles for that romantic mood,” she said. Conclude the moment with a glass of champagne.”
