Limpopo: Your weekly Covid-19 stats
This past week saw the province record 627 new Covid-19 positive cases and 81 deaths. Here is a breakdown of positive, active cases and deaths recorded in each municipality:

LIMPOPO – A of 26 February the province stands on 61 365 cumulative Covid-19 positive cases, 58 857 recoveries and 1 866 deaths. In the period of 19-26 February the province recorded 627 new Covid-19 cases, of which Waterberg district was the main contributor (241), followed by Mopani (118), Capricorn (107), Sekhukhune (101) and Vhembe (49). In the same period the province recorded 11 new unallocated cases bringing the total to 24 and 81 new deaths.
According to the latest statistics issued by the Department of Health the Capricorn district is still in the overall lead with regards to cumulative cases (19 881) and deaths (683), followed by Vhembe with 11 489 cases and 383 deaths. To date the Mopani district has 11 278 cases and 374 deaths, Waterberg has 11 254 cases and 221 deaths and Sekhukhune has 7 395 cases and 205 deaths.
A total of 234 481 tests have been conducted, 90 652 in the public sector and 143 829 in the private sector.
