Kagisho has the boost your immune system needs

Doctor, Kagisho Seakamela (31) aims to assist the Polokwane community boost their immune systems in order to help fight off diseases.

“As soon as the body becomes imbalanced and unwell, everything is disrupted. It is not good to have a weak immune system because then the body cannot fight off diseases, viruses and bacteria which may and can be fatal. Which is why I want to keep on stressing the idea of ensuring you take sufficient immune boosters to help strengthen the immune system, which in return improve your overall health and wellness,” she explained.

The primary emergency medicine practioner, qualified from the College of Medicine in South Africa and says the profession of being a doctor in general is both exciting and overwhelming. She says having the discipline of emergency healthcare is what pushed her to want to focus on dealing with and tackling the strengthening of the immune system, so that the body can automatically be well and strong enough to fight off diseases faster.

“It was a life changing event that took place three years ago, when I was completing my post grad exams and going through a complete burnout, and I was also working long hours as a doctor and dealing with many personal issues. Sleep did not help and I still needed to perform my duties as a doctor as we cannot afford to slow down. So I did my research on how and what I can do to help alleviate the burnout without taking heavy drugs, and I found that I can boost my own energy levels, by boosting my immune systems using IV vitamin treatment (intravenous therapy).

“I travelled to Gauteng to receive the treatment. I was given the Marais Protocol Executive drip, and after just two hours I was shocked by how my body was feeling. I had energy and I was not feeling so tired anymore.

“My body recovered quickly and I was able to resume my daily activities the following day, from then I told myself that I am going to invest my time and resources to learn about the immune boosting treatment, and take it back to my people in Limpopo,” she added.

Passionate about primary care at clinic level, Kagisho says the trick is to correct and strengthen the immune system at primary level by ensuring patients receive enough and the right nutrients. She says this should not be deemed a luxury in anyway, as it will help with your recovery rate when you are ill.

She has just opened her new practice, working with qualified healthcare workers in Bendor called IV Med Lounge where she offers a wide range of IV vitamin drips: Marais Protocol Executive drip, Antiviral Cocktail, Brain Reboot, Gout Flare Buster drip, Anti-inflammatory drip, Energy Boost and various others which range from a 30 minute to 60 minute sessions.
