Critically injured woman extricated from overturned vehicle
The woman was trapped in her vehicle after it overturned on the N1 just outside Polokwane.
POLOKWANE – The paramedics from ER24 responded to incident where a woman was trapped in an overturned vehicle on Wednesday morning.
The incident happened at around 07:30 on the N1 south, around 20km outside Polokwane.
In a statement, ER24’s Spokesperson, Russel Meiring says the paramedics arrived on the scene to to find the wrecked light motor vehicle (LMV) on the side of the N1 road.
“The patient, a 33-year-old woman, was found trapped in the driver’s seat and upon assessment it was found she had sustained several serious injuries, and was in a critical condition.”
Meiring added that the woman was extricated from the vehicle and provided advanced life support interventions before being transported to a private hospital in Polokwane.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
