Round Table aids Ons Tuiste by making a generous donation
The donation is to be used at Our Home/Ons Tuiste.
Round Table Pietersburg 22 reached out to the city’s elderly residents when the organisation’s Chairperson, Gerhard Booysen handed over a donation of R15 000 to the Rotary Club of Pietersburg 100 during a virtual meeting last Thursday.
Booysen explained that the Round Tablers could not host their regular fund raising events last year due to Covid-19 restrictions, but still managed to obtain some money to share with the community. “We will also support the Rotarians’ upcoming golf day,” Booysen said.
The president of the Rotary Club of Pietersburg 100, Naas Vorster thanked Booysen for the support and assured him that the money will be spent wisely.
“Our Home/Ons Tuiste is the Rotarian’s flagship project and cannot be sustained without the support of the local community, business people and other organisations such as Round Table,” Vorster said.
