Water tankers to provide relief as supply remains low
Water tankers will continue to provide temporary relief to areas affected by water shortages.

Residents who continue to experience water shortages, will be provided with water tankers according to the Polokwane Municipality’s Spokesperson, Thipa Selala.
Selala said current water shortages are as a result of low reservoir levels.
“Reservoir levels within the Polokwane Municipality have shown no improvement since Wednesday,” he said in a statement.
According to Selala, Lepelle Northern Water experienced multiple challenges on the Olifantspoort line.
“The challenges resulted in a more than 24-hour stoppage of the plant, while their Ebenezer plant also experienced a power failure, which caused a supply shortage to Polokwane,” Selala explained.
He said that LNW completed their repairs yesterday, but warned that it will still take some time for water supply to reach all affected areas.
“As of this morning, Potgieter, Seshego, Krugersburg Dome and Flat are all sitting at 0% while Ivydale is at 5%.” he added.
Selala urged users, who continue to receive supply, to use water sparingly in an effort to improve reservoir levels for all to receive water.
“Water-related challenged such as leaks, burst pipes and supply shortages can be reported to the Municipal Water and Sanitation helpline at 015 023 5376 / 5629,” he concluded.
