Freedom is a new set of wheels for this disabled youth
In Celebration of Youth Day, EFF Deputy President, Floyd Shivambu handed over a wheelchair to a 22-year-old man living with a disability.
LIMPOPO – Noah Shitilhangu from Muchipisi village received his wheelchair on 16 June.
Shivambu explained that he had seen a post on social media regarding Noah having to quit school, since he did not have a wheelchair to move around freely.

“I volunteered to buy him a wheelchair as I value the importance of education and giving back to the community. I hope with his wheelchair he will be able to go to school and fulfil his dreams of becoming a radio presenter one day,” said Shivambu.
Noah thanked Shivambu for his ‘new set of wheels’ and said he was very happy.
“Not only will I be able to go to school, but now I am able to move around and help around the house with chores and go to the toilet without my brother’s assistance. May the Lord bless Floyd for this amazingly good deed that he had done for me, and may he continue to help others.”
Not only did Noah receive a brand new wheelchair, but also an electronic wheelchair from Malamulele Barcelos Franchise.
According to the Franchise Manager, Joseph Masingi, the wheelchair will help him move around without being pushed or assisted, and both wheelchairs will last longer.
Local Chief, Hosi Wisani Hlungwani of the Madonsi Traditional Council applauded both Shivambu and Malamulele Barcelos for their donations, and called on other good Samaritans to help with items such as food, furniture and household necessities as they are staying in a dilapidated house without an income, as his mother is unemployed and stays with five of his siblings.
