Super Heroes, Sheroes celebrated at Mitchell House

The school held a Super Heroes and Super Sheroes event on August 20.

POLOKWANE – The Roman philosopher Lucius Annaeus Seneca said: “People pay the doctor for his trouble; for his kindness they still remain in his debt.”

To pay tribute to Mitchell House parents in the medical sector for their contribution to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, the school held a Super Heroes and Super Sheroes event on August 20.

The event saw Gr 000 (children turning four) to Gr 3 learners dressed up as medical personnel to commemorate the professionals.

According to Mitchell House marketing director Achsah Phoshoko, learners had the opportunity to send gifts and spekboom plants to the parents as a token of gratitude.

“The past year has seen humanity change in so many ways and it has shown us that there is a group of special people, our very own Super Heroes and Super Sheroes who have made a huge impact in people’s lives.

Mitchell House decided to celebrate these individuals. We could not honour them during Mandela Month, therefore we dedicated this week to our Mitchell House mothers and fathers in the medical sector.”
