POLOKWANE – The Covid-19 pandemic has brought with it many challenges, especially in the education sector. From online learning to abrupt stoppages to the school calendar, learners had to overcome a magnitude of challenges in order to produce quality results. Despite these challenges, Laerskool Ivy Park learners produced top results and on August 20 their hard work was rewarded.
School principal Willem Opperman recognised the top performing learners from different grades for producing exceptional results in the second term.
Opperman said they decided to recognise the learners because they overcame the challenges posed by the pandemic.
“The Covid-19 period affects learners and parents alike. However, the learners did well under the circumstances and they are a good example to their peers and we are proud of them.”
