Cappies roll up sleeves to donate blood

Learners of Capricorn High School participated in a blood drive that was hosted at the school on October 21.

POLOKWANE – During the initiative learners showed their sense of unity as most said their reasons for donating blood was to save lives.

First-time donor Donor Kelly Grant said she understood the importance of her blood to someone who needs it.

“I didn’t need to be convinced because I would like to be one of the people who take a stand to save a life,” she said.

Another first-time donor, Thato Ramoshaba, said she donated blood because she personally knows a number of people who needed a blood transfusion and that this could save their lives.

“It was a no-brainer to donate because I have seen firsthand how it can save a life,” she said.
