Welcome donation for LimCare-Well

LimCare-Well received a big donation from Mzansi Athletics Club last Saturday.

POLOKWANE – Club member Mulalo Chimana explains that they have a social responsibility towards the community to give back.

“We look at what month it is and then donate to a charity accordingly. October was Cancer Month and that is why we decided on LimCare-Well, even though not only cancer patients are treated there. Every single person is affected by cancer, be it a family member or a friend.”

One of the other club members, Lukani Manyaga, says he would love to return to LimCare-Well.

“We have to confront the issue of not being well, with the community.”

Mulalo adds they would like to raise awareness for LimCare-Well and make others aware of what the organisation does. Corné Marais, manager at LimCare-Well, says she asked for gloves, linen savers and oxy-meters.

“When a person comes to our facility they do not have control over their bowel, therefore we use a lot of linen savers. Every time we walk into a patient’s room we need to put on new gloves. Unfortunately, the medical aid does not pay for these and we have to buy it ourselves.”
