NA welcomes new head for arts, culture

Northern Academy Principal Frederick Romijn said Cisku Grové has a wealth of experience in arts and cultural activities.

POLOKWANE – Northern Academy Secondary School recently appointed Cisku Grové as the head of arts and culture.

The 26-year-old teacher will be in charge of the school’s overall cultural programme. Principal Frederick Romijn said Grové is placed in the new position with a wealth of experience in arts and cultural activities.

“She has been with us for two years and she teaches visual arts and English. She was a lead chorister at Bloemfontein Youth Choir and has a B.Ed degree. She is also the head of our outreach programme.

“She is well experienced and it will help us in our quest to become the top school in arts and cultural activities in the province.”

She is expected to offer musical classes, public speaking lessons and debate classes at the school next year. “We are happy to have her at the helm. We are doing well in sport and we want the same achievements in our cultural activities. We believe with her in this position we will achieve that goal.”

Grové said she is happy with the new position.

“We have so many talented learners at the school in arts and culture and I look forward to work with them and help them achieve their goals. I also want to unearth other hidden talents in the school.”
