
MOKOPANE – Mokopane Academic School of Excellence (MASE) held their awards ceremony recently where the learners were applauded for their hard work throughout the year.
Debate:
- Qailah Mosam.
- Boresetse Lelake.
- Resegofeste Mogwera.
- Gabby Jones.
Their team ended second out of 42 teams provincially.
Junior and senior debating champions:
- Hammad Ahmed.
- Andile Maraba was crowned the best speaker.
- Mmathapelo Mahlafunya.
- Ayesha Vhora.
Certificates of merit and a white scroll were handed out to the learners who achieved an average of 80% and above.
Gr 8:

- Bushra Vhora. Bushra received the Bank Store trophy for achieving an average of 93.1%.
- Qailah Mosam.
- Shaista Kara.
- Bushra Sorathia.
- Aliza Abbas.
- Boresetse Lelaka.
Gr 9:

- Resegofetse Mogwera. Resegofetse received the EH Hassim trophy for achieving an average of 86%.
- Sewela Ngoepe.
- Lerato Langa.

Mercy Oyenekan received the Aron Sport trophy for the best achiever in Gr 10 with an average of 79%.
Gr 11:

- Ayesha Vhora. Ayesha received the Stan Boutique trophy with an average of 91.9%. Ayesha also received a merit certificate and a golden scroll as a symbol of her continuous achievement.

Maaz Mohammad received the Newsmaker of the year award as he was chosen for the u/16 Limpopo Cricket team.
Qailah Mosam received a trophy and certificate for being the Archer of the year.
