POLOKWANE – A 61-year-old man was killed on the R71 near the Nobody circle early this morning (July 12).
The spokesperson for the Department of Transport and Community Safety, Mafenya Lediga said it is likely the man was walking in the roadway when the incident happened.
He added that a case has been opened at the Mankweng Police Station.
“Pedestrians must only cross roads where it is designated to do so and only when it is safe to do so,” he said.
According to Google, traffic is backed up at the circle coming out of Nobody.
