Mitchell House hosts dramatic arts awards
Mitchell House celebrated the Gr 9 class of 2024’s film achievements at the College Dramatic Arts Award ceremony.
POLOKWANE – Mitchell House hosted a College Dramatic Arts Award ceremony in the theatre last Friday, with family and friends coming together to witness their children’s great achievements.
The Gr 9 class of 2024’s production houses were awarded certificates for writing, producing, directing, acting, editing and mastering films that were showcased at the College Junior Block during the Filmfesto 2024.
The movie night was also a fundraiser for the school.
Teacher Tlou Mashitisho, who also runs the debate tournaments, handed out the certificates to the learners during the ceremony.

• First place and best film: Blck Ties by Black Visions.
• Second: Puppeteers by Bliss Studios.
• Third: Silent Enemy by Starz Production.
• Best supporting actor and editor: Tshangava Hlaneki.
• Best editor: Maemo Moshakgomo.
• Best actor and director: Mbadi Rithuse.
• Best supporting actress in Blood Ties: Mbali Mnisi.
• Best special effects in Puppeteers: Jessica Letuka from Bliss Studios.
• Best producer: Altlegang Ntike.
• Best videographer: Rose Ndlovu.
• Best scene writer: Lani Mphahlele.
• Hues Inc awarded for best film in Strong Suit.
• Crimson Creations awarded for Vendetta.
• Motion Films awarded for Urban Empire.
• Next Gen Studios awarded for Impilo.
