12-hour water supply stoppage to affect multiple areas

Lepelle Northern Water's team will repair a leaking valve on the main pipeline at the Ebenezer scheme.

POLOKWANE – Municipal spokesperson Thipa Selala says there will be a 12-hour water supply stoppage tomorrow (September 1).

Selala explains the reason for the stoppage is because Lepelle Northern Water’s team will repair a leaking valve on the main pipeline at the Ebenezer scheme.

“Water tankers will be deployed to areas that experience a water shortage as a result. The downtime is expected to be from 07:00 to 19:00 and all supply areas within the municipal area will be affected.”

Selala explains this includes Segwashi, Mentz, Mankweng, Mankweng and most parts of the city.

“Water supply shall be restored once Lepelle Northern Water completes repairs. Residents can contact the Water and Sanitation helpline on 015 290 2376 to report any water related challenges,” he concludes.
