POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Municipality said certain properties within the city will be affected by an 8-hour power supply interruption on Friday (September 9).
Municipal spokesperson Thipa Selala said the interruption is to allow the relocation of a mini-substation from Erf 1340 to the sidewalk.
“The interruption will affect customers on Oost Street from Rabe Street to Thabo Mbeki and from 70 to 80 Thabo Mbeki Street from 08:00 to 16:00,” he said.
Selala advised customers to treat all electrical wiring as live and to switch off all appliances during the downtime to avoid injury and damage once supply is restored.
“Power supply shall be restored once the mini-substation has been moved,” he said.
