POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Municipality says their waste collection team is working on clearing a backlog.
Municipal spokesperson Thipa Selala said the delay in this week’s routes has affected most business centres in the city and Seshego.
Areas affected include the city centre, Cycad, Platinum Park, Thornhill, Savannah Mall, Meropa Casino and Nirvana.
“Businesses whose waste is already on collection spots are urged to leave it as is since the waste collection team is working on clearing the backlog. The municipality assures all affected stakeholders that waste collection services will be provided to ensure that the backlog is cleared,” he said.
The says waste management related issues can be reported to the municipality at 015 290 2366 / 2367 and has urged residents not to litter.
