Polokwane water supply affected by power outage

POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Municipality says water supply from the Olifantspoort plant has been interrupted due to a power failure.

Municipal Spokesperson, Thipa Selala says Eskom has been notified about the problem and is working on restoring power supply.

“This happened at the time when the power supply to the Ebenezer Plant was cut off from 06:00 to 12:00 today and as a result water supply to Seshego, Mankweng City and Segwashi has been affected,” he said.

“Areas receiving supply are urged to use water sparingly,” he said.

Water supply will be restored once reservoirs within the city receive flow.
