Good round at the Polokwane Golf Club
Golfers affiliated to the Polokwane Golf Club welcomed the year in full swing as they headed to the course on January 10 and 13.
POLOKWANE – Golfers affiliated to the Polokwane Golf Club welcomed the new year with vigour and excitement as they made their way to the golf course on January 10 and 13.
The January 10 event was won by Greg Young and Ruan Britz who beat 107 golfers in betterball format to win the event with 47 points.
The duo of Mpho Matsi and Tapiwa Gomwe took second position with 45 points (count-in) while Raymond Mushaike and Thabo Shingange completed the competition in third position with 45 points (count-out).
Theo Goosen won the January 13 event with 41 points and Greg Young settled for second position after accumulating 40 points.
Johan Schultz finished third with 39 points.
The event was played in individual stableford format and was contested by 138 golfers.
