Athletes strut their stuff at PCS

Athletes from PCS have been training hard to reach provincial level and has their eye on podium finishes in all the disciplines.

POLOKWANE – Athletes from Pietersburg Comprehensive School were hard at work at the sports fields on Saturday preparing for the athletics season this year.

The group took the sports field to sharpen their skills in track and field events including shot put, high jump, sprints and hurdles.

Manala Malola, athletics coach and physical education teacher at the school said the team is ready to compete and win events.

“We will be competing with various schools in the city and the aim is to do well. Last year we reached the circuit level and this year we want to go as far as reaching provincial level. We have been training hard and learners are eager to do well in the events. We want podium finishes in all the disciplines.”
