High daytime temperatures to persist in Polokwane this week

Hot daytime temperatures will continue in the city of Polokwane this week with highs of 35°C expected.

POLOKWANE – Persistent high temperatures continue to plague the city with more hot weather on the cards for this week.

The city of Polokwane has been experiencing high temperatures for several weeks now with consistent highs of between 30°C and 35°C.

However, the South African Weather Service has not issued a heatwave advisory despite the high temperatures expected in the city this week.

According to AccuWeather, maximum highs of between 27°C and 35°C are expected in Polokwane.

Sunny to partly cloudy conditions will persist throughout the week with Wednesday (March 13) being the hottest day of the week at 35°C

Conditions are expected to cool on Friday with a daytime high of 27°C before warming up again over the weekend.

Minimal rain is on the cards for the city this week, however, AccuWeather forecasts afternoon thunderstorms on Wednesday with a 40% chance of rain.

Minimum temperatures will range in the mid-teens this week bringing some relief in the mornings and evenings.
