Mmotong beauty queen emphasises hard work and determination

Makolobe Choshi believes in the beauty of building sisterhood and encouraging young people like her to be confident in their own skin.

POLOKWANE – The 22 year old Makolobe Vincentia Choshi from Mmotong is a dedicated woman who believes in working hard, being determined and having courage to encounter any obstacles that come her way.

Choshi is working towards building her career in the chemical plant operation industry.

Choshi believes in the beauty of building sisterhood and encouraging young people like her to be confident in their own skin.

“In simple words I’m a go-getter. Once I put my mind to something I always strive hard to achieve it,” she said.

Choshi is dressed with ambition and also has a passion for modelling. She also holds many titles including the recent Miss Face of Courageous Limpopo.

She highlighted that young people in the pageant industry should not be afraid to come out of their comfort zone and explore different things.

For someone who isn’t that into make-up and glitz and glam, Choshi hopes that pageant organisers could grant people like her the opportunity to model without make up.

Choshi has her own pageant ‘Miss Take The Walk’ where she wants to help restore the confidence in a girl child and to also motivate them to never hold themselves back.

With the slogan ‘Walk the walk, be a stiletto in a room full of flats’ Choshi hopes to encourage girls to not look down on themselves but rather, believe in themselves and grab the opportunities that come their way with both hands.

“If you want to succeed, surround yourself with people who are already successful so that you can learn a thing or two. Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose and with each passing competition we learn new things that will help us to become better people,” she concluded.
