Polokwane couple bond over wine-making

Oscar and Sarah Matedianes are the proud owners of ST4U Wines and are on a mission to educate, attract, and grow interest in wine consumption.

POLOKWANE – The opportunity to own a wine company has brought Polokwane residents Oscar and Sarah Matediane even closer together. They are the proud owners of ST4U Wines, produced in Stellenbosch.

Oscar, a long-time liquor enthusiast, and Sarah, who always dreamed of owning a wine company, have turned their passion into a thriving business.

“I’ve always wanted to have my own business, and co-owning the company with my husband is even better,” Sarah told Polokwane Observer.

ST4U Wines is more than just a business venture for the Matedianes; it is a mission to educate, attract, and grow interest in wine consumption.

“The company is about socialising and promoting the health benefits of wine. We intend to grow our business by strategically partnering with key players within the industry,” Sarah explained.

As a young couple, Oscar and Sarah face challenges in getting people to trust and accept their new product, as well as dealing with pricing concerns.

“Everyone wants to taste but not necessarily buy, and funding the entire process from our own pockets is challenging,” Oscar said.

Their passion for wine is evident in their philosophy: “We believe in the joy that comes from drinking wine, whether it’s toasting to a lifetime of love, sharing in good company, complementing a fabulous dish, or simply unwinding after a long day. ST4U Wines is here for you anytime.”

ST4U Wines currently offers eight varieties. For more information, follow them on social media at ST4U Wines.
