Burst pipe on Dap Naude line to affect water supply in Polokwane

Water supply to the City of Polokwane has once again been affected due to a burst pipe which is being attended to by the municipality.

POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Municipality says their Water and Sanitation team is currently working to repair a pipe burst on the Dap Naude line in Ga-Makanye.

Municipal spokesperson Thipa Selala said this pipeline supplies water to the Polokwane Water Treatment Works and water supply to the city has been affected as a result.

“The team is working tirelessly to resolve the issue and estimates that repairs will be completed within 12 hours from 18:00 on Tuesday evening. During this period, the municipality will closely monitor the situation and provide assistance to areas experiencing water shortages,” his statement read.

Selala added that the municipality is doing everything possible to restore normal water service as quickly as possible.
