LEDA hosts Women’s Month commemoration

POLOKWANE – The Limpopo Economic Development Agency (Leda) commemorated Women’s Month with a high tea at Bolivia Lodge on August 27, bringing together women from all levels of the organisation to share knowledge and insights on common issues affecting them.
Organised by commercial lawyer Mosibudi Raophala, the group’s chief risk officer and compliance manager, the event saw attendees dressed elegantly in dresses, shoes, and hats.
The day’s speakers covered a wide range of topics, including the different types of marriages recognised in South Africa and their legal implications, the importance of wills and trust funds for safeguarding assets and managing estates, and financial literacy, investment portfolios, and unit trusts.
Women’s Month serves as a time for the nation to reflect on the challenges women face and to discuss ways to empower and uplift them.
Raophala also shared her motto she uses everyday; “Start your day with prayer and petition God on your requests for the day Psalm:5, God has gifted all of you with various skills that our country needs, hence we are all diverse in terms of knowledge, skills and wisdom. Dress up, show up, work diligently and live an everlasting legacy and mark on the global stage.”
“Thank you to all the ladies who attended and made this event a success,” Raophala said.
