Familiefees uit die boonste rakke by N.G. Noord

Die N.G. Noordgemeente van Omgee het sy jaarlikse familiefees aangebied waar 'n deel van die opbrengs geskenk word aan gesinne wat op die kerk staatmaak.

POLOKWANE – Die N.G. Noordgemeente van Omgee was ‘n miernes van bedrywighede oor die naweek toe families byeengekom het vir die gemeente se jaarlike familiefees.

Sommer ‘n hele aantal stalletjies het van kos, tot plante en allerlei snuisterye verkoop.

‘n Deel van die opbrengs word vanjaar geskenk vir die 270 gesinne wat op die kerk staatmaak vir bystand.

Die basaar, wat gewoonlik in Augustus gehou word, is al ‘n instelling vir 50 jaar.

Na die Covid-19-grendeltyd is die amptelike naam vanaf ‘basaar’ verander na ‘familiefees’.

Vrydagaand kon inwoners heerlike potjiekos geniet, het een van die organiseerders, Ansie du Toit, opgemerk.

Saterdag het plek gemaak vir ‘n heerlike ontbyt en middagete.

Tussendeur die heerlike samesyn was daar ook verskeie aktiwiteite waar die jongspan besig gehou is.
