Polokwane Mayor Mpe on leave after hospitalisation
Polokwane Mayor John Mpe is on leave after a period of hospitalisation, with Cllr Joosuf Pemma serving as Acting Executive Mayor in his absence.
POLOKWANE – Polokwane Municipality has confirmed that Executive Mayor Cllr Makoro John Mpe is currently on leave following a period of hospitalisation.
In a media statement issued this evening (October 11), the municipality said Mpe has since been discharged from hospital and is recovering well at home, in accordance with his doctor’s advice.
Pemma serving as Acting Executive Mayor
During his absence, Member of the Mayoral Committee for Community Safety, Cllr Joosuf Pemma, is serving as Acting Executive Mayor until Mpe resumes his official duties.
