Christmas cheer with Santa Cause Paws

Make a difference in the life of a shelter pet this Christmas with Santa Cause Paws, collecting gift boxes filled with treats, toys, and blankets.

POLOKWANE – While your pup snoozes under the Christmas tree or your kitten admires the shiny ornaments, countless pets in shelters are hoping for a gift this festive season. Christmas is a time when animal shelters become overwhelmed with stray and abandoned animals.

By participating in the Santa Cause Paws campaign, you can make a meaningful difference in the life of a dog or cat in need.

The campaign offers individuals the chance to pledge a gift box for a dog, cat, puppy, or kitten. Each box should contain:
• Two treats (yummy snacks)
• One fun item (like a toy, ball, or rope)
• A warm blanket or jersey
• One useful item (e.g., collar, shampoo, leash, flea treatment, or cat litter)

Optional extras for shelter staff, who care tirelessly for these animals, are also welcome.

Whether packed in a box or a bag, each gift can be decorated to spread the festive spirit.

Tipsy and Taylor are ready for Christmas.

How to get involved:

There are two ways to pledge:

1. Facebook sponsorship.
Donate R250 via EFT, and Santa Cause Paws will handle shopping, packing, and delivery. You can choose the animal and shelter that receives your gift, with your name on the tag.
2. Gift box pledge.
Pledge online, shop for the items yourself, and drop off the box at a designated collection point by the due date.

Note that you won’t be able to specify the recipient; Santa Cause Paws allocates gifts based on shelter needs and logistics.

Whether you create a box yourself or opt for a sponsorship, your contribution will bring joy to an animal waiting for a forever home.

Beneficiaries in Polokwane:
• Urban Feral Cats Polokwane.
• The Charlie Project.
• Cats Lives Matter.
