Exciting competition determines Kruinie Amabassador for 2025

Working in teams, learners supported various charities across Polokwane, collecting much-needed items for donation and spending time with the residents of each organisation.

POLOKWANE – At Curro Heuwelkruin, learners engage in a variety of meaningful experiences that teach them essential life skills, including effective communication, community service, and embodying the school’s values beyond the classroom.

This year, Gr 10 and 11 learners participated in an exciting competition to determine the Kruinie Ambassador 2025.

Working in teams, learners supported various charities across Polokwane, collecting much-needed items for donation and spending time with the residents of each organisation.

Some of the supported charities included the SPCA, Ngwana Baby House, Polokwane Nasorgsentrum, Tough Living with Cancer (TLC) oncology ward at Pietersburg Provincial Hospital as well as ward J paediatrics at the Pietersburg Provincial Hospital.

After weeks of dedication and teamwork, Palesa Malebana and her team emerged as the winners of this year’s Kruinie Ambassador competition.

Their commitment to service and the positive impact they made in the community earned them the prestigious title.

Through this initiative, Curro Heuwelkruin continues to foster social responsibility and community involvement, empowering learners to make a difference both inside and outside the school.
