Cancer care pamper day for patients and survivors
The event offered guests a day of pampering, including free harmonic facials, full-body massages, and nail treatments.
POLOKWANE – Pheladi Maredi, the founder of Inside Out Aesthetics and Medical Spa at the Optimal Health Institute, organised a Cancer Care Day on October 23 for patients undergoing chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and cancer survivors.
The event was held in partnership with Cansa, IS Clinical South Africa, La-Bella Aesthetics, and Nails by Julia 30, offering guests a day of pampering, including free harmonic facials, full-body massages, and nail treatments.

The medical facial provided was specially designed to hydrate and repair skin affected by the side effects of cancer treatments.
Speaking to Polokwane Observer, Maredi stressed the importance of raising cancer awareness to improve health outcomes.
“Awareness events encourage individuals to talk to a doctor if something feels off, which is essential because early detection increases survival rates,” she said.
To create a warm and uplifting atmosphere, Maredi and her team decorated the spa with pink flowers, helium balloons, and provided healthy snacks, fruit and refreshments for the guests.
“We are grateful to all the businesses that contributed to making this day memorable for our patients. Your support means the world to us,” Maredi concluded.
