Limpopo’s ‘Mother Theresa’ scoops public servant award

Annah Mametsa wins Public Servant of Year and Community Builder awards for her tireless community work, inspiring change and bettering lives.

POLOKWANE – Annah Mametsa, affectionately known as ‘Mother Theresa wa Moletjie’ continues to scoop awards for the work that she does for her community and surrounding areas.

On Saturday, she won an award for Public Servant of the Year in Community Building from the She Millionaire awards that were hosted at Meropa Casino and Entertainment World. “I feel very honoured to have been given accolades while still alive, and it also gives me courage to continue lighting light in the darkness,” Mametsa remarked.

She also won an award for Best Community Builder at the Limpopo SMME Awards on November 1, and said she hopes to continue making a difference in the lives of those around her.

“My journey of changing lives of others is never-ending with the little cents that I have and a few donations,” she added.

These awards are in addition to those she has continuously won since 2006 for her work to better the lives of others.
