Limpopo public servants gathered for the Provincial Employee Health and Wellness Sport and Recreation Day, promoting team building, physical and mental well-being.
POLOKWANE – The annual Provincial Employee Health and Wellness Sport and Recreation Day was hosted at the Polokwane Cricket Club at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Friday, with employees from provincial departments gathering to participate in various sports activities, including aerobics, netball, soccer and fun activities.
According to the organiser, Tlakale Nkadimeng, the director of transversal employee health and wellness from the Office of the Premier, the aim was to ensure that public servants participate in team-building and stay healthy mentally, physically and financially through all services provided.
Shirley Moshapo, Maphefo Mohale, Matilda Mompei, Lydia Sebake and Moyahabo Sebola from Department of Health set examples to attend active events.

Government officials Fransina Maluleke (Ledet), Noko Mmethi (Coghsta), Tommy Kgomo (Sport, Arts and Culture), Angie Rakumako (Sports), Sharon Selotola (Coghsta) and Mankele Madiba (Health) form part of the wellness event.
“We believe a healthy body contributes to a healthy mind, which leads to improved thinking and productivity in the workplace.” He said they encourage more officials to join the experience as it makes for great colleague relations while getting fit at the same time.
