Polokwane to sizzle as temperatures rise

This week, Accuweather predicts temperatures in the high thirties and afternoon thunderstorms throughout the week.

POLOKWANE – Polokwane residents are set to endure the heat this week as temperatures range in the mid to high thirties.

On Monday, residents can expect a high of 32°C, accompanied by thunderstorms in the afternoon. These storms may bring much-needed relief from the heat but also pose a risk of heavy downpours and strong winds.

Tuesday will be cloudy but extremely hot, with temperatures reaching 33°C. While the cloud cover may provide some respite from the sun, the heat will remain oppressive.

Wednesday and Thursday will see temperatures climb even higher, reaching 35°C and 36°C respectively. Although Thursday is expected to be cloudy, the heat will remain intense.

Friday will be the hottest day of the week, with temperatures soaring to a sizzling 37°C.

The weekend will bring some relief from the heat, with temperatures dropping to 31°C on Saturday and 30°C on Sunday. However, both days are expected to see thunderstorms, with heavy showers predicted for Sunday evening.

Evening temperatures will range between 19°C and 20°C.
