What to expect from Polokwane’s weather this week

A noticeable dip in temperatures on Thursday is expected to interrupt the week’s mild to warm conditions in Polokwane, bringing with it a chance of rain and isolated thunderstorms.

POLOKWANE – Autumn continues to settle over Polokwane this week, with mild to warm daytime temperatures and chilly mornings creating seasonal conditions.

Monday starts with long periods of sunshine and a high of 26°C, giving residents a calm start to the week.

By Tuesday, sunny spells continue and temperatures climb to 27°C, while Wednesday will cool to 25°C with partly cloudy conditions.

A drop in temperature is expected on Thursday with a cold front expected to bring cooler conditions over the Eastern and central parts of the country.

Daytime temperatures will peak at 20°C with a 75% chance of rain expected, especially in the morning.

Conditions are expected to improve over the weekend with an increase in temperature from Friday onward.

A daytime high of 22°C will also bring a thunderstorm in a couple of spots in the morning, with a 45% chance of precipitation expected.

Saturday will be milder at 25°C with comfortable conditions and sunny periods, while Sunday will warm to 28°C with long, sunny spells.

Evening lows are expected to range between 12°C and 15°C, so early mornings and nights will still have a bite in the air.
