“The unknown man forced the employees back into the store while three armed men entered. The suspects instructed the victim to open the safe as they were looking for money and she complied,” the Limpopo police spokesperson, Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba’s statement read.

The suspects stole accessories, cellphones, Bluetooth speakers and snacks before fleeing the scene in a silver Polo hatchback.

Mashaba said the total value of the stolen property is approximately R331 500 and that the three victims were assaulted and sustained minor injuries.

He told the Polokwane Review-Observer that it is a popular store but that it’s name is being withheld for security reasons.

“We can confirm that the store is in the CBD. We are unable to name the store for fear of being targeted again,” he said.

“We urge anyone with information to contact Sergeant Ramehlape Mamabolo on 069 532 3260, the crime stop number on 08600 10111, the nearest police station or share information on the MySAPSApp,” he said.
