From Makwarela to fame: Duzeedadj dominates decks
From soulful gospel to amapiano beats, Duzeedadj is breaking barriers as one of Vhembe’s most recognised female DJs.
LIMPOPO – In just eight years, Khadambi Mudodzwa Mashudu, popularly known as Duzeedadj, has risen to become one of Vhembe’s most recognised female DJs. At 31, the Makwarela township native has built a reputation not only for her electrifying sets but also for breaking barriers in a male-dominated industry.
Since stepping behind the decks in 2017, Duzeedadj has performed on platforms across the country, blending genres from afro house, deep house and commercial house to the popular amapiano.
Her versatility extends even further – her live mixes range from high-energy dance sets to soulful gospel, as seen in her performance on ‘One Gospel’.
What sets her apart is her ability to transition between genres while keeping audiences engaged.
With more than eight years’ experience and over 100 performances across South Africa, Duzeedadj has earned a reputation for flawless mixing, crowd interaction and an infectious stage presence.
“My goal has always been to share music with a wider audience worldwide,” she said. Her artistry, discipline and dedication to uplifting the vibe at every event have made her a sought-after act for both club residencies and high-profile events.
