Seshego man arrested after body of woman (26) found decomposed
The Seshego police arrested a man (33) after the body of his girlfriend, Lina Mabje, was found decomposed in Ext 71.
POLOKWANE – The community of Ext 71 has been left shocked following the death of 26-year-old Lina Mabje, who is believed to have been killed by her partner.
A police statement confirms that Mabje’s body was discovered on August 13 at a house she shared with the suspect in Zone 3.

According to the report, she had sustained multiple injuries, and her body was already in the early stages of decomposition.
“Preliminary investigations suggest that she may have been killed several days earlier,” police noted.
Her sister, Sara, expressed the family’s devastation, not only over the loss itself but also the disturbing condition in which Mabje’s body was found.
She appealed to the public and media to allow the family space to grieve in peace.

“We already have community members who supported us during the funeral and court appearances.
“That should be enough. We want to mourn and move on without the constant reminders of the circumstances of Lina’s passing,” she said.
Mabje was laid to rest on Friday. The 33-year-old suspect has been arrested and was expected to make a bail application this week in the Seshego Magistrate’s Court.
