DJ Cappuccino fights back after expulsion from Sapa Yopa MCC

DJ Cappuccino has rejected an expulsion letter from Sapa Yopa MCC, calling it illegitimate, just months before the club’s annual rally.

POLOKWANE – With just three months before the much-anticipated Sapa Yopa Rally at Meropa Casino, tensions have surfaced in the motorcycling club as prominent member Tebogo “DJ Cappuccino” Maswanganyi was served with an expulsion letter.

A letter, seen by Review Online, informed members that Maswanganyi had been expelled from Sapa Yopa MCC with immediate effect.

The club cited Article 14.1 I.E. vi of its constitution, which allows for termination of membership due to conduct that brings the organisation into disrepute.

The letter alleges that Maswanganyi made derogatory remarks in a podcast, calling the club “fraudsters and mafias”.

The club said his comments undermine its integrity and harm the image of its leadership and members.

It further instructed Maswanganyi to report his allegations to police within seven working days or face legal action for what it called “unfounded accusations”.

Maswanganyi, a former president of the club, dismissed the letter as illegitimate, saying it was “ChatGPT-generated” and not drafted by a genuine member of Sapa Yopa.

“There are established procedures for expelling a member, and this letter is null and void. I am still a member of Sapa Yopa MCC, and I will remain a member even if Pico goes back to Angola,” Maswanganyi told Review Online.

The development comes as Sapa Yopa prepares for its flagship rally, one of the biggest biking events in the province, scheduled to take place in December.
