Polokwane reservoir levels recover after planned water shutdowns
Reservoir levels in Polokwane are improving after recent shutdowns. See which areas are recovering and which remain under pressure.
POLOKWANE – Reservoir levels across Polokwane are beginning to improve following the recent planned shutdowns at the Olifantspoort and Ebenezer schemes, the Polokwane Municipality municipality confirmed.
Municipal spokesperson Thipa Selala said some areas have already started receiving water, while others experiencing low or no flow are expected to stabilise gradually as the system recovers.
“We will continue to monitor critically affected zones and provide relief interventions where necessary to ease the impact on communities,” he said.
Current reservoir status:

Ext 34 (Ivydale): 80% – Healthy and stable

Potgieter: 7% – Very low, under pressure
