Car enthusiasts shine at Turf Poi’s debut Stance Market in Polokwane

Turfloop’s Theto “Turf Poi” Ramoraswi hosted his first Stance Market at Savannah Mall Rooftop, drawing car lovers to compete across multiple show categories.

POLOKWANE – Founder Theto ‘Turf Poi’ Ramoraswi from Turfloop hosted his very first and vibrant Stance Market at the Savannah Mall Rooftop last Saturday, where car enthusiasts gathered to showcase their prized vehicles and compete across various categories.

The event featured a wide range of makes and models, with categories including Best Static, Low Limbo, Best Air, Best Cab, Best 7-Seater, Best Rep Wheel, Best OEM Wheel, Best Fitment, Best Interior, Best of Show, Best Bakkie, Cleanest Cab, Cleanest Private, Cleanest 7-Seater, and Best Paint Job.

To ensure fairness, clear rules were set for all participants.

No spinning was allowed, competitors were prohibited from giving instructions to other drivers, and any form of discrimination was strictly forbidden – and violators faced disqualification.

Among the standout winners were Ramoraswi himself, who took home the title for Best OEM Wheel, and Tebogo ‘Lopo’ Gwangwa, who won Best Air, along with several others who excelled in their respective categories.

“Luckily, all the competitors followed the rules, and although it was a tough competition, it was a success,” Ramoraswi said.

“Thank you to all the contestants who entered and, most importantly, to our sponsors who made the event possible.”

My name is Anne Mametja. I am a mom of four and an identical twin. With a passion for media, I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Media and Television Production in 2012 and due to my love for children, I also hold a certificate in Nursing Auxiliary. As media is my first love, I started working at the Polokwane Review as a journalist in 2017 and it has been amazing thus far. I love journalism because I can be a voice to the community through my work. Journalism allows me to meet different people at the events I attend. Although there are certain beats that journalists stick to, being an all-rounder means I write community, schools, sports, hard, lifestyle and entertainment news. It also allows me to be versatile in the newsroom and assist where I can. ‘Journalism can never be silent, that is its greatest virtue and its greatest fault.’
