Pipe leak affects Polokwane suburbs

A major leak on LNW’s main feeder line has left several Polokwane areas without water. Repairs should be completed by 15:00.

POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Municipality has confirmed a leak in the main feeder line supplying Penina Park, Ivy Park, Sterpark, and the CBD.

This follows ongoing dry taps, despite confirmation that maintenance on the Olifantspoort line was completed.

Municipality spokesperson Thipa Selala says the municipality acknowledges the frustration, as some areas have been without water for most of the week.

The fault lies in Lepelle Northern Water’s (LNW) bulk infrastructure.

LNW has been notified and dispatched technical teams to attend to the issue. At present, restoration is expected to be done by 15:00 today.
