Warm week for Polokwane, with recurring thunderstorms

Keep your umbrellas nearby throughout the week and be prepared for sudden downpours; the afternoons are bringing thunderstorms!

POLOKWANE – Residents can expect a mix of sunshine, clouds and afternoon thunderstorms throughout the week, as temperatures gradually climb before cooling again by the weekend.

On Monday, the city will see intervals of sunshine with the possibility of a thunder-shower later in the day, with a mild high of 23°C.

Conditions remain similar on Tuesday, which will bring clouds, sunny spells and another chance of an afternoon thunder-shower. Temperatures will rise slightly, reaching 24°C.

Wednesday continues the warm trend, peaking at 28°C, with partly sunny skies and a possible afternoon thunderstorm. This pattern extends into Thursday, which is forecast to be the hottest day of the week at 31°C, again bringing the chance of afternoon thunder-showers.

Friday brings a shift, with temperatures expected to fall to 21°C under mostly cloudy skies. Light showers are possible during the morning before conditions settle later in the day.

The warmer weather returns briefly on Saturday, with a high of 26°C and a chance of isolated afternoon thunderstorms.

On Sunday, the city cools again to 20°C, with cloudy skies and possible morning thunder-showers followed by light rain in the afternoon.
