Gradual increase in daytime temperatures for Polokwane this week
Polokwane’s weather shifts from cool and cloudy to hot, humid and storm-prone this week, with a rise in temperature from Wednesday.
POLOKWANE – Despite a chilly and wet start to the week, residents in Polokwane can expect a gradual increase in temperature as the week progresses.
According to AccuWeather’s forecast for this week, daytime temperatures will peak between a cool 17°C and 28°C.
An unseasonably chilly start to Monday brings a 63% chance of rain as a cut-off low system leaves the country before temperatures begin to rise from Tuesday onward.
Cloudy to partly cloudy conditions will persist this week with thunderstorms likely in the afternoons.

Wednesday’s maximum climbs to 24°C, but humid conditions could trigger a 55% chance of afternoon thundershowers.
Thursday brings a brief pause in rainfall, with a high of 24°C and only a 22% chance of showers, making it one of the more stable days of the week.
Moving into the weekend, Friday is forecast as the wettest day, with a 90% chance of persistent rainfall and thunderstorms expected from the afternoon into the evening as temperatures reach 25°C.

Saturday remains warm at 27°C under partly sunny skies, though isolated afternoon showers are possible.
The week concludes on a hot and unsettled note on Sunday as temperatures rise to 28°C, paired with a 56% chance of late-afternoon thunderstorms.
