Police hunt Thohoyandou bakery robbery suspects

Five armed suspects robbed a bakery in Thohoyandou, firing shots and assaulting staff before fleeing with cash.

LIMPOPO – Thohoyandou police are searching for five armed suspects who robbed a local bakery in Shayandima village on Wednesday night (January 7).

According to reports, the suspects entered the premises armed, wearing balaclavas, and forced employees into one room.

Two shots were fired during the incident, and some victims were assaulted. The suspects forced open a safe and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police spokesperson Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba confirmed a case of business robbery has been registered and that the suspects are still at large.
