Manhunt launched for Thohoyandou ATM robbery suspects
Police are searching for five suspects who broke into a fuel garage in Thohoyandou early Thursday morning in an attempted ATM robbery.

LIMPOPO – Police in Thohoyandou are searching for a group of suspects following an attempted ATM robbery at a Phiphidi Mapitas Village fuel garage.
The incident was reported in the early hours of Thursday morning (January 15).
Police spokesperson Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba says the garage manager notified the owner after the ATM’s alarm was triggered.
Police were already on the scene when the owner arrived.
Preliminary investigations indicate that five unknown suspects broke through a wall to enter the building housing the ATM. They used tools to try to cut the machine open.
While fleeing, the suspects dropped the ATM’s cash cassettes. An undisclosed amount of money was recovered at the scene.
The suspects remain at large while police are following up on leads, and investigations continue.
