POLOKWANE – The Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety has confirmed that the N1 between Mookgopong and Nylplaza Toll Gate has been officially reopened to traffic after being closed earlier today.

The closure followed a collision between a minibus and a truck.

5 dead, 4 seriously injured

Five people in the minibus died at the scene. Four other occupants were rushed to hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the tanker survived with minor injuries.

Victims being identified

Saps is working to identify the deceased and notify their next of kin.
